TRAVEL TIPS

Getting Here and Around

Bolshaya Nikitskaya is served by the Krasnopresnenskaya, Barrikadnaya, Okhotny Ryad, Arbatskaya, and Biblioteka Imeni Lenina metro stations. You can approach the street from ploshchad Pushkin walking south along the Boulevard Ring; from metro station Arbatskaya walking north, also on a boulevard; or from ploshchad Manezhnaya, where the eastern end of the street is. It's a bit of a trek to get to the street from any metro station except Biblioteka Imeni Lenina, so plan accordingly.

Timing

This neighborhood is spread over quite a bit of territory and includes detours down crooked streets, so it's best to allow a full day to see everything at a leisurely pace. If you start out at the Okhotny Ryad metro station and walk through the sights to end at the Barrikadnaya station, you'll have walked roughly 3 km (2 miles).
