How Kristie Got Started in Travel

Growing KristieLen Travel

After working out of her storefront for 3 years, an opportunity arose for Kristie to work from home after COVID. KristieLen Travel, LLC continues to grow, and Kristie continues her passion for teaching and making a difference by training agents in an extensive, detailed program she created, as well as teaching people about travel in general and helping them cultivate a passion for it. Hearing that they just had the “best trip ever” is music to her ears. The agency is consistently on the leaderboards, ranking her team in the top 150 companies out of over 12,000 agents.

Favorite Destinations and Travel Specialties

Kristie has enjoyed the entire United States (& Alaska), Canada, Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She favors Spain and Italy. Her favorite destinations are Europe and Antigua. Her favorite all-inclusive resorts are Unico and Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres in Mexico.

While she loves doing weddings, golf groups, and groups in general, honeymoons are special to her as well… as is family travel. She appreciates it when parents start their kids traveling early.

Passion for River Cruising

She has also developed a fond love of river cruising and has been hopping over to Europe for yet another river cruise. She enjoys that all ages are appearing on the cruises and attributes it to a desire for something new, and being able to easily disembark, have activities included, and live like a local in various cities and countries.

Proud Accomplishments

With business this year, Kristie is most proud of the growth of her agency and her awesome team of agents. But more important than anything, is her pride for her two grown children, their spouses, and her grand angels.

A Unique New Adventure

Kristie recently experienced some luck, by winning an auction to purchase Alan Jackson’s Silver Belly Whiskey Wagon, an Embassy class B stealth and HOA-friendly RV. While the wrap was removed, the van is intact with Branded signage, the Silver Belly Pillows, an Alan Jackson autograph, and even a case of Silver Belly Whiskey! Kristie plans on enjoying some time here and there to travel in the USA and work remotely part-time. She also can use it to travel to meet with clients, keeping the personal touch alive.

Mackenzie (Melissa, TX) Lowry has been an agent with KristieLen Travel since 2018. She met Kristie when she was still a teenager, as Kristie lived next door. Kenzie LOVED traveling, and always booked her trips through Kristie since Kristie cared so much about value and customer service.

After she graduated from Texas State University with her degree in Elementary Education, she married her middle school sweetheart, became a teacher in Plano, and quickly started training as an agent under Kristie. She has welcomed two children into the world and soon will be able to experience family travel firsthand!!

Her favorite place on earth is Ireland. Her favorite thing is to work with travelers heading to Europe, as well as all-inclusive resorts. She feels very blessed to work with such a fabulous team that specializes in making memories in beautiful destinations.

A Meaningful Client Experience

Mackenzie’s favorite client experience was a bitter/sweet one. A couple was planning on traveling as a group when the husband had a near-death car accident. The wife decided (months after the accident) that she would go, as her husband was encouraging her to go after spending so much time helping him heal.

Mackenzie spoke to her husband and arranged to have a letter from her to him every day, made mugs, and even a pin for her to wear with their picture on it so she would feel like he was with her. It was already in her room when she arrived. Mackenzie was humbled by how much it meant to her! She loves going the extra mile to let her clients know how much she cares. Go figure, that “that wife” is now one of our team!

Lisa (Austin, TX) began her travel tenure in February 2020. As you may know, February 2020 was a very unique time, especially for travel. Beginning her tenure with KristieLen Travel in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, possibly the toughest travel season, has given Lisa substantial experience in finding the perfect trips when it seems like none exist.

However, she is not limited only to Hawaii. Lisa has made it a point to travel and see the world with her husband, Brian, and now little daughter Mila. Some of her favorite destinations include Hawaii, Aruba, St. Lucia, and Mexico.

Morgan(Carlisle, PA)is a great addition to the team, specializing in all things All-Inclusive! Morgan has been a travel agent since May of 2021, and has helped numerous honeymooners, families, and groups make memories in paradise. She is an expert in honeymoons and has a niche for first-time out-of-the-country travelers, as well as luxury romance travel. Morgan is native to Southeastern Oklahoma but has recently moved to the small historic town of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Morgan received her B.A. in English Writing at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and is a Juris Doctoral Candidate at Penn State Dickinson Law. When she is not in school, the courthouse, or planning dream vacations, she loves to hike with her husband and dogs, explore local breweries, go to concerts, and, of course, TRAVEL! JEFF HULL

Jeff (Forney, TX) has been married to Henrie Hull for 40 years. They have two great adult kids. While growing up, Jeff lived in Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; San Francisco, California and Miami, Florida. During their marriage, some destinations they have visited include; the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Mexico, California, Florida, and Wyoming. Jeff was a Detective with the Dallas Police Department for 34 years. Since their retirement, with Henrie’s help, he decided to become a travel agent to help people enjoy “Their” vacations of a lifetime. Jeff also is the owner/pitmaster of Grizzly’s BBQ and he caters BBQ to large groups of 70-200 people in the Dallas area. His most exciting adventure is that of being a Grandpa.
